External Portals
SmartComply provides self-serve portals that allow external stakeholders to interact with your compliance data without needing a workspace account.
Portal Types
- Tester Portal — Certified backflow testers can submit test results, view their testing history, and manage their certification details.
- FSE Portal — Food service establishments can view their compliance status, see upcoming pump-out schedules, and access notices.
- Hauler Portal — FOG haulers can submit pump-out manifests and view their service history.
- IU Portal — Industrial users can view their permit, submit monitoring results, and check compliance status.
Access Control
Portal access is granted on a per-entity basis. For example, a tester gets portal access when you enable it from their profile in Backflow → Testers. An invitation email is sent with login instructions.
Branding
Portals display your agency's logo and name. Configure this in Settings → Workspace → Branding.
URL Structure
Portal pages are accessible at your workspace subdomain: springfield-water.smartcomply.app/portal.
