Industrial User Permits

The Pretreatment module centers around permits that define what each industrial user (IU) is authorized to discharge.

Creating a Permit

  1. Navigate to a facility's Pretreatment tab or go to Pretreatment → Permits.
  2. Click + New Permit.
  3. Fill in:
    • Permit Number
    • IU Category — SIU (Significant Industrial User), CIU (Categorical), Non-Significant, etc.
    • Effective Date and Expiration Date
    • Discharge Parameters — Add each regulated parameter (pH, BOD, TSS, Metals, etc.) with daily max and monthly average limits.
    • Monitoring Schedule — How often the IU must sample (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually).
  4. Click Issue Permit.

Permit Status

  • Active — Current and in effect
  • Expiring — Within 90 days of expiration
  • Expired — Past the expiration date
  • Draft — Not yet issued
