Bulk Importing Facilities

Import hundreds of facilities at once from a CSV or Excel file.

Bulk Import

If you're migrating from another system or have a large dataset, use the bulk import feature to add many facilities at once.

Preparing Your File

SmartComply accepts CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files. Your file should include columns for:

  • Facility Name (required)
  • Address / Street (required)
  • City (required)
  • State (required)
  • ZIP Code (required)
  • Facility Type
  • Phone Number
  • Contact Name
  • Email

Running the Import

  1. Go to Import → New Import.
  2. Select Facilities as the import type.
  3. Upload your file (drag and drop or click to browse).
  4. SmartComply's AI will automatically map your columns to the expected fields. Review and adjust mappings if needed.
  5. Preview the first 10 rows to verify data quality.
  6. Click Start Import.

Import Results

After the import completes, you'll see a summary showing:

  • Total rows processed
  • Successfully imported records
  • Skipped rows (with reasons — duplicates, missing required fields, etc.)
  • A downloadable error report for rows that failed
